My name is Gert-Jan Odijk, and I am a native of the Netherlands. I am an experienced educator who is dedicated to providing high-quality language instruction to students of all levels. I have a master's in political sciences and a bachelor's in communication, and I love language.
With a focus on personalised learning and interactive teaching methods, I strive to create a supportive and engaging environment for my students.

My lessons are crafted to cater to a wide range of proficiency levels and learning styles. I work mainly with books from the Dutch publisher Couthino.
During a trial lesson we establish together what book and or lesson type you need to attain your goals.
While the textbooks often lay the foundation of my courses, my teaching approach is far from rigid. I understand that language learning is not one-size-fits-all. That's why, in addition to textbook-based lessons, I offer:
- Customized Lessons: Tailored sessions focused on specific grammar topics, meeting individual learning needs.
- Poetry and Literature: Delving into Dutch poetry and literature to enhance language appreciation and understanding.
- Thematic Discussions: Engaging discussions on various themes, enriching vocabulary and conversational skills.
- Role-Playing Exercises: Practical role-play scenarios, such as job interview preparations, to build confidence and real-world language proficiency.
Affordable Pricing
A 1-hour lesson costs €38 (CHF 37), including lesson planning and homework review. For two students, the total rate is €52 per hour. For larger groups, please contact me for a tailored price.
